Leningrad is a popular Russian rock band from Saint-Petersburg (formerly Leningrad), led by Sergey “Shnur” Shnurov. The particular focus of the band’s lyrics is mainstream cultural and political cliches. Leningrad launched numerous hits during its twenty years of work and went beyond any genre: Shnurov also heads a talk-show for retired audience and doubles shows for kids, makes stadiums stand up and creates fun during conservative corporate parties.
